SPRING SUMMER 2024 PROGRAMME

Bouônjour and welcome to ArtHouse Jersey’s Spring/Summer 2024 programme! Now in its third year, we are delighted to continue our Capital House exhibition programme beginning with The Land and Us / La Tèrre et Nous which features a series of new commissions made collaboratively with a diverse cross-section of the Island population, all exploring our relationship to our local ecosystems. In May we see Layla Arthur, a young artist whose professional journey began attending ArtHouse Jersey’s Paper Dialogues exhibition in 2016, who has since gone on to build an impressive body of work consisting of exquisite paper cut sculptures that she is here showing in Jersey for the first time. This exhibition includes her large scale piece, Jersey: My Childhood Home. Each is a beautiful miniature world! Our connection to landscape, its secrets and histories continues to be an inspiration across our French Season 2024, with the What Shadow? (Ce Que Dit la Bouche d’Ombre) exhibition, a film screening and performances featuring new work from artists across the Channel Islands and France. And August sees the launch of the new Butterfield Public Art Series, with a large scale public artwork in St Helier created by renowned Finnish artist, Kaarina Kaikkonen made up of shirts previously belonging to Islanders.

Keep an eye on website for updates and news on the upcoming programme. While you’re here why not sign up to our newsletter and be among the first to learn about our exhibition openings, performances and events on the homepage!
