Playful Ink Techniques

Art tutor: Lisa Troy

Creative ink workshops for any ability.

Inks have been used by artists the world over for drafting maps, sketching anatomy, ornate calligraphy and capturing ideas as part of a longer creative process.

Over a half day, Lisa will guide you through ink theory, pen drawing techniques and brushwork enhancement taking inspiration from the dramatic coastline of Greve de Lecq. There will be exploration of patterns in foraged materials, inspired line drawings and playful ink works, with the Tuesday workshop focusing on gouache and gum arabic resist techniques, and the Wednesday workshop focusing on marble effect and water droplet techniques. You will also learn how to make sustainable inks.

All art materials included, plus you take home your very own 50-page sketchbook. Each four hour workshop is £50 to attend. Available dates are:

Tues 5th Aug, 1pm to 5pm (includes gouache & gum arabic techniques)
Wed 6th Aug, 1pm to 5pm (includes marble & water techniques)
