James Tyson
Head of Programme
James comes to ArtHouse Jersey after working for the British Council managing international cultural exchange programmes across South Asia, Africa and the Middle East regions. His work has focused on experimental performance and cross-disciplinary arts projects previously working as a programmer and Head of Theatre at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff (1999-2011), an independent producer, festival director and artistic collaborator.
Projects include the dance series Devotion by Sarah Michelson (New York City and US tour, 2011—2014), International Performance Festival Cardiff (2014), International Agatha Christie Festival (2016-2019) and as Creative Advisor for Eyeview (2018-2019), a Great Place Scheme project funded by Arts Council England in Torbay, Devon. He joined the ArtHouse Jersey team in May 2022.
