Nude Life Drawing guided by artist Jason Butler
ArtHouse Jersey is delighted to announce the next in their series of live online drawingclasses, ‘Nude Life Drawing guided by artist Jason Butler’, a first ever for Jersey. Theclass, which takes place on Friday 18 September at 7pm via the video conferencingplatform Zoom, will feature a 90 minute sitting by a male model and will seeInternationally renowned artist from Jersey Jason Butler guide participants through anumber of poses while offering practical advice on the art of figurative drawing.The human form holds an element of intrigue for most people with the body being thefocus of artistic expression throughout history. This is a fantastic opportunity for peoplefrom all walks of life to try something new in a relaxed and non-pressured format.We’re wholeheartedly encouraging group bookings, where a crew of friends orcolleagues can come together and enjoy this first-ever-for-Jersey experience with asmile. All being well this will be the first of four sessions on a similar theme that we willbe offering in the coming months.Artist Jason Butler was temporarily lured out of teaching retirement by ArtHouse Jerseyearlier this year, with this being the second class he has hosted in their live onlinedrawing series. In recent years Jason’s primary focus has been on producing abstractpaintings, though he is an acclaimed portrait artist with work previously being exhibitedat the National Portrait Gallery.Director of ArtHouse Jersey Tom Dingle said “It’s great to be able to offer this kind ofenjoyable class to people in Jersey and further afield. We wanted to ride on the successof our previous online classes with something a little different for everyone, regardless oftheir artistic abilities, something new, interesting and hopefully a lot of fun!
