Artists Wanted to be a part of the 'Cultural Campus' at Greve de Lecq Barracks

ArtHouse Jersey is inviting local creatives to take on the lease of two studios available at its Greve de Lecq site

The vision is for the site to become an international centre for ‘art-making,’ a space for artists to be supported in the creation of new work, and an inspirational home for the local arts community. The artists that take on the lease of the studio spaces will play a role in helping ArtHouse Jersey to achieve this vision.The Barracks is already home to ‘Luddite Press,’ a collaboration between artists and printmakers Tom Parker and Tim Le Breuilly. The pair, who have installed two full size printing presses and the paraphernalia to support several printmaking practices, are setting out to share the joys of printmaking with the wider community. They are planning a programme of workshops and classes as well as a membership scheme for practicing artists already competent with the equipment.ArtHouse Jersey has two further studios available for artists and creatives who want to develop their work and be part of the new cultural campus.ArtHouse Jersey also welcomes visiting artists to Jersey as part of its residency scheme, providing opportunities for the local community to engage with and benefit from highly-skilled, practicing artists. Where fitting, ArtHouse Jersey would like to see visiting artists collaborate with the tenants, sharing expertise and learning from each other’s practices.Artists working in any discipline are welcome to apply for a studio space.
