Today sees the launch of The Man Up Project, a short film created by local musician turned filmmaker Ben O’Shea. Supported by both ArtHouse Jersey and Crestbridge, the film explores the reality of men’s mental health in Jersey, right in the middle of national Mental Health Awareness Week.

Inspired by the kindness of three islanders who recently travelled to France to deliver aid to refugees over the Christmas period, ​ArtHouse Jersey ​commissioned filmmaker Luke Romo Hodges ​to join them and document some of the stories they encountered along the way.

The funding committee awarded ​Joshua Shea ​for his short film ​‘Before the Tide Comes In’​, freelance photographer, filmmaker and graphic designer ​Lucy Le Lievre ​for her short documentary ‘​The Old Buggers Club’ ​and Jersey born London based artist ​Alexander Mourant ​who is busy creating his latest solo exhibition ‘​I Could Not Tell Glass from Air’ for a renowned London gallery.

Joss MacDonald, a locally born actor and artist with UK-based theatre company ‘Project Lockout’ is set to release his latest piece of performance art online this coming Friday 27 November 2020 on ArtHouse Jersey Presents.

This month we're welcoming international art collective Forest Fringe to the Island. The group will set out to make a feature length film in just four weeks!

Recent ArtHouse Jersey commission 'Sound of Colour' has been selected for two festivals next month: On Art in Poland and New Renaissance in London, where it’s also been nominated for Best Documentary Short.

We're excited to be welcoming pioneering theatre-making collective Forest Fringe to Jersey in August-September for a special residency where they'll be setting out to make a film.

2019 started off well for Jersey-born film director Michael Pearce who, alongside Lauren Dark, won a BAFTA for Outstanding British Debut of a Director, Writer or Producer for ‘Beast’.
