Over 50 local musicians 'Let the Good Times Roll' for 2021
First performed by Louis Jordan in 1946, Let the Good Times Roll is a well known blues standard and has been described as ‘a buoyant invitation to party.’ This might be a stretch given current Covid restrictions, yet over fifty Jersey performers have assembled here to see islanders over 2020’s finish line in musical style, and with a nod towards better times to come.
ArtHouse Jersey releases virtual tour of the Skipton Forget Me Knots art installation
ArtHouse Jersey is delighted to announce the design of a virtual reality audio tour around their Skipton Forget Me Knots exhibition.Skipton Forget Me Knots was a large-scale, immersive art installation, which took place in November 2020 at the Jersey Maritime Museum and welcomed over 2,200 physical visitors during its run.
Journey to the Heart of the Blues with Carrie Cooper
Freelance radio broadcaster, journalist and presenter Carrie Cooper travelled to the States as she set out to make 'Journey to the Heart of the Blues.' The documentary brings to life real stories of the blues as Carrie accompanies Jerseyman, musician Giles Robson to the American Blues Foundation where he was nominated for two Blues Foundation Awards.
Film Festival Success for Sound of Colour
Recent ArtHouse Jersey commission 'Sound of Colour' has been selected for two festivals next month: On Art in Poland and New Renaissance in London, where it’s also been nominated for Best Documentary Short.
Meet our new seed funding awardee - Vivian le Vavasseur
Edward Bailhache, performing and producing music under the pseudonym ‘Vivian Le Vavasseur’, is a musician from Jersey, currently living and working in Berlin. He is a recent awardee of seed funding from ArtHouse Jersey.
